Yesterday the Inside Adwords Blog posted about a potentially very exciting new free tool called ‘Website Optimizer’. Or perhaps ‘Website Optimiser’ if they decide to spell it the correct way in the UK.

The basic concept of the tool is to allow advertisers to test content on their website and understand what converts best to reach the chosen goal, whether that be a sale or e-mail sign up etc. So you can take your own websites landing page and basically experiment with the content, the headlines, images, promo text, general copy and call to actions to see what works best, where and in what combination.

The Website Optimizer will generate a report on the findings from the tests when it has enough data and will highlight what variations and combinations of the page performed best and their respective percentages. Check out the full overview demo.
