So after Yahoo! announced they now support the NOODP meta tag, it seems they are looking to add a no Yahoo! Directory tag also via a Webmasterworld discussion. These tags of course enable websites to tell Yahoo! to not display the Open Directory Project / Yahoo Directory title and description in the Yahoo! search results.
At this moment, only the NOODP tag is supported and Yahoo will recognize the following META tags on your pages:
META NAME=”ROBOTS” CONTENT=”NOODP”
or
META NAME=”Slurp” CONTENT=”NOODP”
Obviously the top meta tag will include all search engine robots to not use ODP titles and descriptions where as the “slurp” is for Yahoo!’s crawler only.
